1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Use constitute a legally binding agreement between you and TECH COMPETENCE INSTITUTE. By registering an account, taking a practice test, purchasing a certification exam, or otherwise using our platform, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these terms.

We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

2. Eligibility

To use TECH COMPETENCE INSTITUTE you must:

• Be at least 13 years of age
• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Not have a previously suspended or terminated account on our platform
• Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement in your jurisdiction

3. Account Responsibilities

When you create an account with TECH COMPETENCE INSTITUTE, you are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account at support@knowledgebase.com
• Ensuring your account information is accurate and up to date

You may not share your account with others or allow others to take exams on your behalf. Doing so constitutes fraud and will result in immediate account termination and certificate revocation.

4. Exam Rules and Integrity

TECH COMPETENCE INSTITUTE is committed to maintaining the integrity of our certification process. By taking any exam on our platform, you agree to the following rules:

• You must take the exam yourself without assistance from any person or external resource
• You may not use search engines, books, notes, or any other reference materials during a certification exam
• You may not attempt to copy, record, screenshot, or reproduce exam questions
• Switching browser tabs, minimizing the browser, or leaving the exam page during a certification exam will trigger a warning and may result in automatic submission of your exam
• You may not attempt to manipulate or circumvent the exam system in any way

Violation of these rules constitutes academic dishonesty. TECH COMPETENCE INSTITUTE reserves the right to revoke any certificate issued as a result of dishonest conduct without refund.

5. Payments and Refunds

Certification exams on TECH COMPETENCE INSTITUTE require a one-time payment per attempt. The following payment terms apply:

• Payment must be completed before a certification exam attempt is unlocked
• Each payment covers exactly one exam attempt for the specified course
• If you fail an exam, you must pay again to attempt the same certification
• If an exam is auto-submitted due to tab switching, time expiry, or other security triggers, the attempt is considered used and no refund will be issued
• All payments are processed securely through Paystack

Refund Policy: Refunds are only considered in cases of verified technical failure on our end that prevented you from completing your exam. Refund requests must be submitted within 48 hours to support@knowledgebase.com with supporting evidence.

6. Certificates

Certificates issued by TECH COMPETENCE INSTITUTE are subject to the following terms:

• A certificate is issued only upon passing a certification exam with the required pass mark
• Each certificate is assigned a unique, publicly verifiable certificate ID
• Certificates are the property of TECH COMPETENCE INSTITUTE and are issued as a license to the certificate holder
• TECH COMPETENCE INSTITUTE reserves the right to revoke a certificate at any time if there is evidence of exam fraud, misrepresentation, or violation of these terms
• You may share, display, and use your certificate for personal and professional purposes
• You may not alter, falsify, or misrepresent the contents of your certificate in any way

7. Intellectual Property

All content on the TECH COMPETENCE INSTITUTE platform including but not limited to course content, exam questions, design, logos, and software is the exclusive property of TECH COMPETENCE INSTITUTE and is protected by copyright law.

• You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any platform content without explicit written permission
• You may not scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to extract content from our platform
• Exam questions are confidential and may not be shared publicly in any format

8. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to engage in any of the following:

• Creating fake accounts or impersonating other persons
• Using the platform for any unlawful purpose
• Attempting to hack, exploit, or compromise the security of the platform
• Posting or transmitting harmful, offensive, or misleading content
• Interfering with other users enjoyment of the platform
• Attempting to reverse-engineer any part of our software

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

TECH COMPETENCE INSTITUTE is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.

While our certificates are designed to be credible and verifiable, TECH COMPETENCE INSTITUTE does not guarantee that any employer, institution, or third party will accept or recognize our certificates for any specific purpose.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TECH COMPETENCE INSTITUTE shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or loss of opportunity.

11. Account Termination

TECH COMPETENCE INSTITUTE reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms of Use. Upon termination:

• Your access to the platform will be immediately revoked
• Certificates obtained through fraudulent means will be revoked
• No refunds will be issued for payments made prior to termination due to violations

12. Governing Law

These Terms of Use shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Nigeria.
